Tegel Airport, Terminal A in Berlin (1974) was that first winning design. In Vietnam, gmp designed the Vietnam National Convention Center (2006) and the Hanoi Museum (2010) in Hanoi. For the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa it designed Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban (2009), whose 46,000-square-metre roof of Teflon-coated glass-fibre membrane is hung from a great arch on steel cables and glows when the stadium is lit, and Cape Town Stadium (2009), working with local architects. Baku Crystal Hall in Azerbaijan (2012) followed. gmp's projects are studied for how large public buildings such as airports and stadiums can be planned around structure and crowds.
