Snøhetta is an architecture and landscape practice founded in Oslo, Norway, and named after a mountain in the Dovrefjell range. It grew from a group of architects and landscape architects, including Kjetil Trædal Thorsen and Craig Dykers, who shared an office in Oslo from 1987 and wanted architecture and landscape treated as a single idea. In 1989 they entered the open competition for the new Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Egypt, which they went on to build; it was completed in 2001.
