BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) is an architecture and design practice founded by the Danish architect Bjarke Ingels in Copenhagen in 2006, after he and Julien De Smedt closed their earlier office, PLOT. It now has offices in cities including New York, London, Barcelona and Shanghai and employs more than 700 people. Its first book and exhibition, Yes Is More, explained its ideas in the form of a comic.

Mountain Dwellings in Copenhagen (2008) climbs apartments up the sloping roof of a car park to make an artificial, south-facing "mountainside". The 8 House (2010) bends a city block into a figure of eight with two courtyards, mixing three kinds of housing with shops and offices. Superkilen (2012), a park in Copenhagen, gathers 108 plants and objects linked to the 62 countries its neighbours come from. Via 57 West in New York (2016), which BIG calls a "courtscraper", rises as a sloping pyramid 142 metres high. CopenHill (2019) puts an 85-metre ski slope, hiking path and climbing wall on top of a waste-to-energy plant. BIG's projects are studied for turning everyday needs, such as parking, housing or power, into public places.
